Founded in 1835 at the time of the Industrial Revolution, the Chemin-Vert foundry in Paris produced cast iron parts for ships and trains.

Abandoned for decades, the factory has been completely renovated and was born to new life as Atelier des Lumiéres, a digital art center curated by the company Culturespaces. The innovative idea is to stage immersive exhibitions to admire the greatest masterpieces of painting from a completely new perspective. Thanks to AMIEX® technology the works of art are projected in a very large format and visitors can literally cross them, admiring details otherwise invisible and following an extremely engaging story made of images and sounds.

The programme of the Atelier des Lumiéres was inaugurated with exhibitions dedicated to Gustav Klimt and Hundertwasser, together with the installation POETIC_AI. This is an interesting new destination in the ever-popular cultural landscape of the French capital, an experimental space just a few steps from the Cimitière of Pére Lachaise.
